Since I have started couponing I seem to be a bit more brave about asking for coupons, discounts and specials that may not be advertised because I have a really hard time paying for things full price. Recently my mother was in town for a couple of days and we usually spend one of those days having lunch and going shopping. One of our favorite places to find great deals on shoes is DSW. As we were checking out the women asked if we had a DSW shopper's card and any coupons? My mom replied that she did but didn't have the card and that she had no coupons. The women then asked for my mom's name and then she called a number to see what she could do for us. After she hung up the phone she told us that we now had a $10 coupon to use on this purchase and another one that would be sent my mom's for a future purchase. So needless to say it doesn't hurt to ask! So the next time you are out and about don't be afraid to ask...you never know unless you don't try!
