Managers...Make Them Your Friend Too...
Since my adventures in couponing has started I have faced many ups and downs while it has been mostly "up" I have encountered a few downs. So how many of you at there have asked a question or spoken to one of the managers of your local grocery store? I have to admit it does take a little bit of nerve for me to do but I have done it and I feel pretty good after the fact. The first time I spoke up was when they forgot to take down a sale price from the previous week. When I saw the price and realized how much I would save with me stacking my coupon on the store sale I was pretty excited and couldn't pass it up! When I went to go check out the sale price did not ring up. Needless to say the cashier was non too thrilled when I mentioned that it should be on sale and showed no interest in checking. So I decided to not to push the issue with her anymore and gave her my coupon. After paying her I decided to head to the the front desk to see if anyone could help me. With a big smile I explained to the manager what happened and we both walked down to see the sale sale. He apologized for the cashier not willing to check the price and gave me cash back from the difference of what I paid including how much the coupon was for. I thanked him very much and told him what great customer service you have and this is why I come back to this particular store. So every time I am shopping and I see that manager I smile and we say "Hello" to each other. I am certainly grateful for how he helped me out.
